During this one-hour conversation, Farm Sanctuary leadership takes a beat to reflect on what we've accomplished so far in 2023 and what we plan to achieve in the year ahead.
This year, Farm Sanctuary has achieved major milestones as we've continued to "build the good" - for farm animals, people, and the planet.
We earned two major litigation victories, with the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals overturning North Carolina's Ag-gag law and the Supreme Court upholding California's Prop 12. We helped launch three pilot programs to support community-led, just, and sustainable plant-based interventions to shift our food system. We introduced new animal healthcare and wellness practices as we look to move holistically to cooperative care. We made progress with sanctuary-based research, exploring the joys of learning with chickens and examining whether cattle and pigs experience PTSD. So much compassionate transformation, understanding, and impact!
