News from Rep. Chip Roy

Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

As I begin another busy week in Washington, DC, I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:

Democrats played for keeps. Republicans played for crumbs.
After weeks of the White House creating a frenzy over a possible default, House leadership struck up a swamp deal on the debt ceiling. After failing to coax Republicans into passing the deal, Speaker McCarthy had to fall back on House Democrats in order to get President Biden’s “Fiscal Responsibility Act" across the finish line. Despite resistance from his own party, Speaker McCarthy touted the bill as historic and highly “conservative” – the Democrats' eagerness to vote for this bill highlights just how “conservative” the deal actually was.

As I told Dan Bongino, Democrats are playing for keeps while Republicans play for crumbs. The big winner here is government bureaucrats, not the American people.

The fight against woke indoctrination in the military
Last week, I called on Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to provide a full accounting of the military resources that will be expended to impose woke gender ideology on America’s men and women in uniform during the month of June.

Our enemies around the world are laughing at us while growing stronger and bolder every single day. The military's purpose is to defend America and her interests against those around the world who want to destroy us — not to use taxpayer money to advance a divisive agenda.

It’s time to defund the World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) just elected North Korea to its executive board. This is just another blatant example of how corrupt this entity truly is. That’s why I am calling on Congress to pass my bill to defund the WHO. It’s past time we stop propping up this failed organization.
