John, I have a request that is asking for a bit more than usual. I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why this request, especially today, is so important.

25 days from now, we’ll reach our quarterly fundraising deadline with the Federal Election Commission. After that June 30 deadline, my team will file a public report with the FEC — and everyone from political pundits to Mitch McConnell to his personally-aligned Super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund, will be watching.

Democrats are facing the toughest Senate map in years, and to be honest, our campaign is a bit behind on this quarter’s goals. Which is why I’m asking:

Will you chip in $25 to help us catch up with 25 days until this month’s FEC fundraising deadline?

Outside of elections themselves, these FEC reports are the biggest drivers of political news — there are only a half dozen of them remaining until the 2024 election.

They shape narratives, show which party has greater momentum, and show how campaigns are funded — whether through grassroots supporters like ours or McConnell’s dark money Super PACs.
