The core principles of representation in our Constitutional Republic have become corrupted over time.
This has left the American people with elected officials who make promises on the campaign trail that fail to materialize in public service.
A prime example of this is my incumbent opponent Tony Gonzales, who persuaded the people he would stand strong on border security, Constitutional rights, and our traditional American values. Not long after entering office, he broke his word and engaged in policy making endeavors that were contrary to what he campaigned on.
Because of that, I spearheaded efforts that led to his being censured by the Republican Party of Texas.
To reestablish the essence of a government of, for, and by the people, we must reject the continuation of lifelong politicians who gain power and wealth at the cost of a broken oath to American citizens.
Together we must stop politicians like Tony Gonzales from becoming another Dianne Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, or Nancy Pelosi!
