John, I'm so grateful for the outpouring of support I've received since I launched my U.S. Senate campaign two months ago. 

But right now, I'm getting outspent and outraised – and I urgently need to prove that I have an incredibly strong team behind me. That's why I'm asking you to personally endorse my campaign.

I’m counting on 10,000 grassroots supporters to endorse my progressive campaign for U.S. Senate before midnight tonight. I know it doesn't sound like much, but your endorsement will help me reach the finish line and become the third Black woman to ever serve as a U.S. senator. I've never been afraid to do what's right. Back in the state legislature, I wrote California’s first Violence Against Women Act and convinced a Republican governor to sign a law protecting LGBTQ+ people. And in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, I stood alone as the sole member of Congress to vote against the Afghanistan War, because I knew the last thing our grieving nation needed was to enter another war. 

Now, I'm ready to take that fight for progress to the U.S. Senate – but I can't do that without your help. Polls currently show that a huge percentage of voters are undecided, and I need your support to convince them that my progressive agenda is best for California, and the country. 

I know we can overcome my fundraising disadvantage and make history by sending another Black woman to serve in the U.S. Senate – but only if people like you step up now. So please, if you're in this fight with me, will you endorse my campaign today so we can build a progressive future for all tomorrow?
