"Running for Office 101"
Hello Dallas County Young Republicans!
Please join us on Monday, February 24^th at 6:30 PM at British Beverage Company (BBC) in Uptown for a special new event – “Running for Office 101”!

We will host a panel discussion with three of our very own Dallas YR members that are currently running for elected office in Dallas County – Genevieve Collins for Congressional District 32, Luisa del Rosal for Texas House District 114, and Will Douglas for Texas House District 113. All three of our panelists are young, first-time candidates running to win back critical swing districts from Democrat incumbents in Dallas County….and they’re doing an amazing job taking care of business! If you live or work in places like Uptown, Lake Highlands, M Streets, Garland, Preston Hollow, Devonshire, and many others, then you’ll be directly impacted by these races.

Many of you have asked, “how do I run for elected office?”. We’re going to ask these three YR’s how they made the decision to run, what the experience of campaigning has been like, how they juggle their careers with a run for elected office, and more. We want our members to have the chance to interact with peers about the truth of running for office in a fun, open environment.

The event will take place in the back room of British Beverage Company, which we have reserved.

The timing of this event could not be better!
Early voting for the Republican primary begins February 18^th and continues through February 28^th. Election day is Tuesday, March 3^rd.

I’m proud to announce that since January of 2019, the number of dues-paying members of Dallas County Young Republicans has grown to 420 members from 180 members – for those of you as bad at math as me, that’s a 240 member increase in one year! I want to encourage y’all to keep showing up and inviting friends – what we’re doing is making a difference! You've built Dallas YR into the best Young Republican organization in the State of Texas. Thank y'all for your continued support of Dallas County Young Republicans. We'll look forward to seeing everyone at this event!
