John, On Saturday, President Biden signed the debt ceiling bill that included a special provision to fast-track the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) — a fracked gas pipeline that’ll cause irreparable damage across Appalachia and emit millions of greenhouse gas emissions yearly, putting our climate goals even more out of reach.

This is Biden’s pipeline now. He has the power to stop it — just like President Obama stopped the Keystone XL Pipeline. He has the power to stop making the places we call home sacrifice zones.

Young people voted for President Biden because they understood the urgent need for climate justice. He campaigned as the “Climate President" , and his recent approval of new fossil fuel projects like Willow and now MVP is a massive betrayal. If he doesn’t do more to meet climate goals, he risks losing our generation in 2024.

He will hear our outrage. Thousands of people are planning on taking to the streets to call on President Biden to stop all new fossil fuel projects in a wave of actions hosted across the country this week.
