Have you watched yet?

We're honored to be showing The Hong Konger during the 34th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre. We hope to raise awareness regarding the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) human rights violations against Hong Kongers. Specifically, we want to tell Jimmy Lai's inspiring story, which is incredibly important to anyone who values human freedom.

Watch The Hong Konger

Do you need a nudge

Advocates editor-at-large, Jim Babka, also hosts a podcast: Gracearchy with Jim Babka. And the latest episode of Gracearchy is about The Hong Konger's debut screening on ASG.Stream, and it features two guests...

ASG.Stream brings you Jimmy Lai's story
First, Eric Kohn of the Acton Institute, one of the producers of the film provides the historical setting, shares elements of Jimmy Lai's personal story, and explains the importance of protest as a form of expression. He also goes behind the camera a bit, about the making of the film and its impact on him.

Yours truly is the second guest. As the executive director of ASG.Stream, I explained the unique role ASG.Stream is playing by sharing The Hong Konger and how we're helping Jimmy Lai's cause.

You'll learn why watching this movie is a revolutionary act!

I really believe Jimmy’s story is one that cannot die in a prison cell – it is one that must reignite a persistent movement to defend the cause of freedom for Hong Kongers, for China as a whole, and for humanity everywhere.

All of the films on ASG.Stream will demonstrate the possibilities of a social order that maximizes human freedom. During this podcast, I also explain how our "pay-it-forward" model will both keep ASG.Stream free and help our films become widely viewed.

Oh, and both Eric and I explain just how simple it is to undermine the CCP. We give the actual steps in this episode.

Every episode is also on these podcasting five platforms: Pandora * Stitcher * iHeart * Google Podcasts * Spotify

P.S. We're delighted to be presenting the Hong Konger, and we're partnering with organizations and filmmakers across the freedom movement to make more great films available.

When Hong Kong’s basic freedoms come under attack, newspaper publisher and pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai finds himself in the crosshairs of the state and must choose between defending Hong Kong’s long-standing liberties, or his own freedom.”
