Friend, it shouldn't be difficult to find affordable child care in your community.

But over the past three decades, the cost of child care has increased a staggering 220 percent nationwide – and the entire state of Nevada was recently found to be facing a severe shortage of child care services. This crisis is hurting our families and our economy, and we must take immediate action.

So please, if you're with me in the fight for affordable child care, will you sign my petition now? I'm looking for 20,000 signatures by midnight, and I'm counting on yours.

As a mom, I understand how urgent this issue is – and the huge toll it can take on working class families. That's why I’m fighting in the Senate to expand access to affordable child care and ease the financial squeeze that families are feeling across the country.

We can take real action to address this problem by lowering child care costs for the average family, increasing wages for child care workers, and expanding preschool programs in high-need communities.
