President Trump is at a campaign rally here in Manchester right now. VP Pence held his rally earlier this afternoon.

We’re not surprised that Trump has made our district a top priority, but hosting rallies on the eve of our first-in-the-nation primary is proof that his top GOP strategists think he can win New Hampshire’s First District this November -- just like he did in 2016.

Just two months ago, WMUR reported that the “White House has its eye on Pappas” -- and it’s because they know I’m one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the House. But it’s also because a Democrat holding this seat represents a challenge to Trump. He may have won the First District in 2016, but then you helped elect me in 2018.

Our district hasn’t re-elected an incumbent member of Congress since 2008, but we need to break this cycle now.

Here’s the thing though: National Republicans are going to spend hundreds of thousands in outside money in an attempt to turn our state red, but I’m not taking ANY corporate PAC money. That means I am counting on YOU.

Trump is probably on stage right now spreading his hate and lies to voters, and tonight I am asking you to help us take a stand against our president’s dangerous and divisive rhetoric.

Trump’s values do not reflect our values here in the Granite State. If you agree with me, please pitch in to help us send a message that we won’t let this seat go without a fight.
