Hi John xxxxxx, That's me and my mom yesterday at the West Hollywood Pride Festival. As we all know, Pride is a time for celebrating our freedom, our identities, and standing together in acceptance. But, in the midst of all this unity, there was a small group of religious protesters going against the tide. Now, my mom, a woman of faith herself, saw these protesters and took a stand. The moment was so powerful that a video of it blew up on Twitter, with over 100,000 views so far! Click the tweet to watch the video:
We've received so much love and support from Christians, Atheists, Agnostics, and everyone in between who appreciated her standing up to hate. What this experience reminded me is that love is always on the same team. Regardless of our belief systems, our backgrounds, or our walks of life, love is the common ground. It fills me with so much hope for our future, and reassures me that together, we are unstoppable. In solidarity, Josh Bocanegra
