I want to tell you a little about my friends Elissa Slotkin and Haley Stevens. Elissa and Haley represent neighboring districts -- Michigan’s 8th and Michigan’s 11th.

We’ve all gotten to know each other over the past few years because in 2018, they flipped Republican seats in districts that voted for President Trump, and our team flipped the governorship.

Now, the country is watching to see what both of their districts will do in 2020.

There’s no question that Michigan will be ground zero for the 2020 election. With competitive congressional seats like theirs, a Senate race, the Michigan State House, and vital electoral college votes up for grabs, all eyes will be on Michigan. In Congress, Elissa and Haley have been partners in championing the needs of Michigan families.
