Patriot,

As we’ve repeatedly noted, one of the government’s most effective tools for crushing dissent is Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which despite being created to spy on foreigners is in fact used to spy on Americans all the time.

More than 3 million times in 2021 alone, to be more precise.

That year – the first of Joe Biden’s administration – saw a more than 250% increase over previous years.

Not only is the FISA Court typically a rubber stamp for requests to spy on American citizens, but the court once announced the government reported numerous incidents in which the FBI gathered surveillance without even bothering to obtain a warrant from the court.

But now, politicians in Washington are talking about some half-hearted “compromise” on “reforming” Section 702 – not shutting down its abuses altogether.

Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL) is heading a “bi-partisan working group” that hopes to “reform” Section 702.

Remember, they tried “reform” with the PATRIOT Act, rebranding it as the new, totally different “USA FREEDOM Act” – and things only got worse. There were no meaningful reforms. That’s exactly how FISA Section 702 became the new preferred tool for mass spying on law-abiding Americans!

Now, here they go again, telling us they’re going to do something . . . and that something will turn out to be nothing good.

Of course, the Deep State is pushing back on any reform of Section 702.

Assistant Secretary of State Brett Holmgren recently whined that 702 reforms would put the State Department “at risk of losing access to one of the most important streams of intelligence on which we rely … Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.”

Patriot, the Deep State considers every unconstitutional, extra-legal method they use “the most important” and they claim everything they do is necessary for “national security” because they always get away with that excuse!

Most incredible of all, Holmgren had the audacity to claim the 3 million FISA abuses in a single year by the FBI was OK because, years later, the public found out about them!

He actually said the fact that reports of FBI abuse came to light in the first place “demonstrates that the process is working.”

He even had the nerve to say the public eventually finding out what they did “shows that the broader intelligence community respects the Fourth Amendment rights of Americans.”

Imagine bank robbers using this excuse: “We allowed ourselves to get caught, therefore the system works! Set us free and we won’t do it again.”

Over 3 million illegal searches of the database in a single year, and the Deep State tells us it’s a good thing! The Deep State tells us even though they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and nobody was punished, it’s a good thing.

Well, it’s not a good thing.

This is an absolute outrage. We must tell Congress RIGHT NOW:

NO COMPROMISE, NO REFORM: END SECTION 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act!

The fact is, the Deep State is hell-bent on collecting every American’s emails, phone records, text messages, Internet searches, instant messages, online purchases, and social media posts.

And they’re not letting anything get in their way. As admitted in the news, the NSA “deliberately ignored restrictions on their authority to spy on Americans multiple times in the past decade.”

This is a fight for the very future of our Republic.

No government in the history of mankind – not even the Communist East German Stasi of yesteryear – has ever held the massive spying power our federal government holds over law-abiding U.S. citizens today.

No government in world history that’s ever sought this power has even been able to avoid the temptation for abuse . . . and the Biden regime doesn’t even pretend to resist this temptation.

Remember, the Biden Justice Department believes the biggest threat to America isn’t a foreign government – it’s the American people.

And what they mean, of course, is those guilty of “wrongthink,” as Orwell put it. People like you and me.

That’s why it’s so critical you DEMAND Congress let Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act expire.

There are literally thousands of examples of agency abuse. The FBI has become so emboldened, they’re using DMV photos to launch a massive facial recognition database! They are skirting the law by buying your internet history from the Big Tech companies.

This should be no surprise. Men aren’t angels. Neither are politicians, government bureaucrats, or AI algorithms.

Our Founders understood that liberty cannot exist without privacy. As Benjamin Franklin stated, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

But today, our Constitution’s Fourth Amendment – which protects American citizens’ right to privacy from government – is hanging by nothing but a thread.

The protections you and I have against the actions of evil men holding the reins of our own government are dropping like flies.

You and I must take a stand.

Please tell Congress right now to STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE.

And if you can, please also make a contribution of $100, $50, $25, $10, or whatever you can afford to help us inform and mobilize more patriots for this fight.

P.S. Section 702 of FISA – which allowed the massive collection of innocent Americans’ emails, texts, phone calls, and online chats to continue – is set to expire next year.

If you and I turn up enough heat on Congress to stop reauthorization, I’m convinced we can bring the statists’ domestic spying programs to a crashing halt.

That’s why I’m counting on you to please sign the STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE petition and make a contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100, or more TODAY!
