As the Con-Con battle ramps up, we have exciting new updates to make our legislative action alerts more impactful. You’ll be able to easily connect with your elected officials through email, a scripted phone call, a Tweet, or even a custom video!
In this week’s Matter of Action, Robin Kinderman gives a quick overview of the new system and how it works. The upgrades walk you through recording a 30-second video message by using our guidelines provided and also have premade messages available for Twitter.
Many people on the staffs of elected officials are under 30, which makes video and Twitter a much more effective way in reaching them. Even if you don’t have a Twitter account, the system will help you create one and will remember your log-in, so you’re not signing in multiple times.
Plus right after you send the message, you’ll be able to generate some hype and interest about the alert by sharing it via Facebook and Twitter. We have already seen some small Con-Con victories in West Virginia and Utah.
We urge you to continue contacting your elected officials. Work with them to stop all Con-Con resolutions or rescind all existing resolutions.
Please watch our tutorial video below and sign up (if you’re not already a user) for our legislative action alerts found at the ACT NOW section of JBS.org!
