When you go to Israel expect to meet God in a deeper, personal way

A 15 MINUTE ANSWER TO PRAYER

Without getting into all the details, the past months have been very difficult for my organization, The United West and for me, personally. Just a few days before I was scheduled to leave for five weeks in Israel, due to the many problems I was facing, I was not sure if I could actually go, but for some reason, I knew I HAD to go.

For two years I've been planning a mission to Israel that included helping lead a Christian tour, hosted by Sam & Kevin Sorbo and leading a national security/ border security tour hosted by former ICE Director Tom Homan.

The Tom Homan tour, sponsored by The United West and JEXIT takes place next week so I have no idea what prayers will be answered on that mission, but I do know what happened to me on the recent Sorbo trip.

As I was walking to the WALL, to pray, my mind was swirling with all the problems, issues and impending difficulties that were on my shoulders weighing me down like one of those massive Jerusalem stones I was about to lean on.

The closer to the WALL I walked the more my problems collided with one another, almost not knowing how to even pray! Then, in what can only be described as the leading of God, one name cut through all the clutter in my brain and it became crystal clear, to ONLY pray for that name, the weight of my world, could wait until another time, I was to pray for THAT name.

It was the shortest time I've ever spent at the WALL, maybe 30 seconds, as it did not take long to simply say "OK God, I will pray for that name, your will be done in that life."

Walking away from the WALL, I felt a peace that surpasses all understanding, having prayed for that name, in spite of the continuing and increasing weight of my problems on my shoulders.

I walked a very short distance to find our tour guide who asked me to wait to lead a group into the tunnels. So instead of going with the group, which was the original plan, I waited outside and stood above the plaza watching others at the WALL.

At just about 15 minutes after I prayed for THAT name, out of nowhere. THAT name walks up to me, with an obvious burden of their own and bluntly says to me, "I need to talk to you."

Now, I've been a serious Christian for many years and have seen it all, but as I stood there, at the most significant location for believers, with an answer to my prayer just 15 minutes earlier, even I, once again was in awe of God's majesty and personal activity in the lives of two people on a tour.

Needless to say, that person, a man who had been though catastrophic events in his life, was at a critical point of surrendering to God or moving into horrible despair.

Not only did we talk, but we bonded on the rest of the tour in only a way that can only be described as a divine appointment. Due to my background I was able to help him and will continue to even though he has gone back to America and I'm still in the Holy Land.

At that WALL, God brought two people together, one who needed help, the other who could help, both of whom are better off, because of 30 seconds at the WALL.

Regardless of the burdens you may be carrying, find time to lean on any wall for 30 seconds or more, let God cut through the clutter and be obedient to His leading. You will never regret those divine moments.
