Hey friends,
I wish I didn’t have to write this, but I have some disappointing news to share. I hope you’ll let me lay out what’s going on in Washington right now.
This morning, the president released his budget for the next fiscal year. Some of the priorities he outlined really worry me -- especially this one:
The Washington Post
“The budget would cut Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program and also wring savings from Medicare despite Trump’s repeated promises to safeguard Medicare and Social Security.”

I have to ask for your help today in light of this news: Our seniors have earned their Medicare and Social Security, and we need leaders who will fight to secure it for them.
So, I’m asking: Will you contribute $5 or more right now to my highly-competitive re-election campaign? >>
Listen -- I’ve always said that I’ll work with the president when it’s good for Upstate New York, and I’ll stand up for our interests when they’re put at risk.
This is one time when I must speak up.
Our most vulnerable citizens and children need access to quality, affordable health care. And, our seniors deserve to retire with dignity and reap the benefits they’ve invested in for decades. Really, it’s as simple as that.
But if we don’t win this incredibly competitive race in November, Claudia Tenney will be right back in Congress rubber-stamping harmful policy changes like this one. We only defeated her by a SINGLE percentage point last election, so we can’t play it safe now.
I’m asking you, personally: Will you please chip in any amount to our campaign, and help keep me in Congress fighting for our priorities? >>
Yours,
Anthony Brindisi
