CitizenGO was present in Geneva, taking a firm stand to echo your voices against the proposed Pandemic Treaty, ahead of the 76th World Health Assembly.
I would like to update you on our most recent action at the World Health Organization headquarters and the United Nations, and the latest developments on the proposed Pandemic Treaty.
Click here to watch the video of CitizenGO’s actions at the WHO in Geneva:
With your incredible support, we presented almost half a million signatures to the WHO’s headquarters, opposing their latest power-grabbing Treaty, and their attempt to violate the civil liberties of common citizens.
We want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to sign and share this petition. Your actions directly contribute to this fight: to stop the efforts of globalist organizations to mandate future lockdowns, vaccine passports and limit free speech.
The World Health Assembly - the decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO), gathered at the United Nations in Geneva last week, where the zero-draft for the Pandemic Treaty was officially presented.
During the meeting, CitizenGO also staged a visible stunt outside the United Nations building. This direct action ensured our collective message was impossible to ignore and added a much-needed dose of public scrutiny to the proceedings that were taking place, inside the Assembly.
This was in spite of the unreasonable treatment we received at the hands of WHO officials, who did everything possible to silence our voices, and make us go away, despite having no legal authority to do so.
The Police, who were called by angered WHO officials, took our side and made clear that we in fact had the right to deliver the petition signatures of citizens -your signature-, and record outside their premises.
The WHO knows exactly what they are doing - they want any criticism of the Pandemic Treaty to be silenced as quickly as possible. They did not like the fact that half a million angry citizens are voicing their anger over this issue - and that the number is growing!
Pandemic Treaty - Latest Developments
As for the latest developments on the Pandemic Treaty, I am noticing that the critical voices that stand for individual freedom, are getting louder.
We are gradually beginning to make an impact!
The Pandemic Treaty continues to be an extremely concerning legally binding international agreement that would curtail national autonomy and give the World Health Organization's excessive and centralized power to intervene in countries’ health policies during future outbreaks.
However, thanks to people like you and I, the criticism and skepticism regarding the treaty is expanding, and thankfully, they will not have it so easy to push this through.
According to the inside information we have been receiving from Geneva, the presentation of the zero-draft at the World Health Assembly did not get off to its best start and progress on the report has already been stalling due to these criticisms and ongoing debates.
The pandemic accord was unprecedentedly contested in heated debates by both member states and health groups.
Many delegations in fact spoke out against the Treaty, saying it would be a 'step backward' for global health governance, echoing the exact same concerns that we've been raising:
- Its lack of transparency;
- The disproportion in health access;
- The undermining of state sovereignty … and so much more!
We must at all times acknowledge that different nations have distinct healthcare systems, social structures, and unique citizen needs that require a personalized approach.
Their push for global governance does not respect the national sovereignty of nation states, which is a fundamental principle of the international system, according to the UN itself.
What next?
While it will no longer be on the official agenda of the World Health Assembly for this year — meaning no decisions will be made on the agreement this year — negotiations on the draft amongst member states will be taking place.
Several meetings are planned between now and the next World Health Assembly in May 2024, which is when the report will be considered for final adoption as a legally binding agreement by the UN health agency's 194 member countries.
That is why we NOW have an incredible opportunity to continue to mount the pressure on our national governments…
… A great opportunity to take direct action and stop this proposal in its tracks!
These initial developments are crucial, but it is still early days and there is so much work to do. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
We will represent your collective call against the globalists’ attempt to transfer power from nation states to unelected global organizations like the WHO, that threaten our civil liberties and health choices, under the guise of a ‘pandemic response cooperation’.
In the meantime, please do not stop supporting us in this vital cause. It is only through your engagement and support that, together, we are able to make a big difference, in what is a very tough but critical fight.
