I am proud to represent every single resident of central and southern Illinois, but this month, I want to celebrate and uplift our LGBTQ+ neighbors. Pride Month is an opportunity to center the joy and victories won by LGBTQ+ people, and continue to push for equality as allies at a time when rights, especially trans rights, are under attack.

I hope you’ll join me not only in celebrating this joyous month, but in committing to creating communities where each of us feels accepted and cared for just the way we are every day. We’re all stronger when we stand together, and I’m always standing with you.

Most recently, Nikki served in President Biden's administration in the office that implemented the American Rescue Plan.
