I am thrilled to announce that Representative Annie Kuster and I have taken a significant step towards ensuring that Americans are not deceived by dishonest billing practices. We have introduced the Facilitating Accountability in Reimbursements Act (FAIR Act), which will harmonize billing practices in off-campus hospital outpatient facilities to reflect the site of care. This will help prevent confusion and ensure that patients are not unfairly burdened with exorbitant medical bills. Our goal is to create a more transparent and fair healthcare system that benefits all Americans. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare, and that starts with accurate and honest billing practices. With the FAIR Act, we are one step closer to achieving that goal. |
