Africa & Europe
Pray for peace in the Karamoja region of Uganda. IJM is working here to implement projects that will protect women and children from violence, but the current instability has made it difficult to move freely to carry out activities. Pray that the unrest and insecurity would cease, and that people would be able to live in freedom and safety from violence.
Latin America
Please pray for the possibility of forming a local network of survivors of violence in Peru. Last week, our team met with a group of 10 women who are all survivors of violence in Huánuco. We consulted with them about their interest in beginning a local survivor network that would support and advocate for victims and survivors of violence. Pray for God’s direction and provision of a physical space as conversations continue.
South Asia
Pray for safety for our staff as they increase travel to the field in the next few months. Our teams will be meeting more frequently with local partners, government officials and survivors to map out the current needs related to forced labor. Pray for safety in their drives, great health, wonderful meals and strong connections with these critical stakeholders.
Asia Pacific
We praise God for the continued work of IJM’s Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children. Although the work undertaken by these dedicated teams is arduous and often shrouded in darkness, we have hope that God is at work. May His intervention be evident in the swift and comprehensive eradication of this crime, bringing lasting protection and restoration to vulnerable children.
