Hello Comrades! Take a look at what Sacramento DSA has in store this month and see how you can get involved.

Announcements

Read through the announcements and learn about any updates or requests to the General Membership.

Comms Standing Committee - first meeting!

Exciting announcement everyone: we are re-forming the Communications Standing Committee!

This group works on both internal and external communications, helping shape our relationships with the public and our members. We will support campaigns, craft messaging to promote our work, and engage our community. This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in impactful work, and a great way to get engaged for members less comfortable with in-person campaign work like canvassing. Our first meeting will be June 27 at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom.

Local Convention Planning Group

Do you want to get more involved with the Chapter and don't know how?

Are you organized and detailed-oriented? Do you like creating programs and schedules?

Be part of the Local Convention planning group!

Local Conventions are the "highest deliberative body of the Local to amend its structure and decide the political priorities of the Local between Local Conventions".

A lot of planning and work goes into planning a Local Convention and it takes a village to make this happen.

If you are interested, please get in contact with a Steering Committee member or email [email protected] for more information!

Enter in a raffle by completing our Conflict Skills Survey!

What Is It:

The goal of this survey is to help identify member's greatest barriers to participation in the chapter and sources of chapter conflict in order to guide the efforts of the newly formed conflict navigation working working group.

Raffle Details:
- Must enter contact information to be entered in the raffle.
- The earlier you fill out the survey the more chances you have to win!
- After first 80 responses, participants are entered in raffle for two $10 gift cards
- After 160 responses, all participants who haven't yet won are entered in raffle for a 1 year Jacobin subscription
- After 200 responses all participants who haven't won are entered in to raffle of Vivek Chibber's "Confronting Capitalism" and Kate Aranoff's "A Planet to Win."
- If we reach 300 responses we will have a special surprise raffle.

Interested writing a blog post?

Do you feel passionate about a certain leftist topic? How about current events? Are you a good writer? If you answered yes, we would love to host your writing on our Sacramento DSA blog located on our website!

Our last entry is a few years ago, so we are hungry for new leftist content to display.

If interested, please email Chapter Secretary, Jessie, at [email protected].
