We Must Stop Them From Stealing Abortion Rights in The Dark Of NIght.

Last year, as you may recall, many states supported ballot measures to protect choice. Blue states like California, Michigan & Vermont. But also red states, where extremists produced ballot measures to ban abortion. They lost them all and the right to choose was affirmed in Kentucky, Kansas & Montana. Oops.

Now Ohio's set to vote on a November ballot measure to decide the fates of 11,800,000 residents, of which 6 million are women. So, GOP state legislators, knowing they'll lose, are doing what they do best: Cheating.

The gerrymandered jackals passed legislation creating a special August election--wasting millions in taxpayer dollars--to get ahead of the choice vote with their own measure to fix the vote--changing necessary support for an amendment in Ohio from 50% to 60%. Outrageous.

We must get the word out to Ohioans NOW that they must turn out in August to vote against this ridiculous power grab by Republican zealots.

Ohioans for Reproductive Choice, who got this measure on the ballot, is out there educating people about the GOP's treachery. Per their recent email:

Join the Vote Not In August campaign to educate Ohioans about the extreme proposal to make it harder to amend our state constitution. Together we will defeat this extreme measure on August 8, then secure abortion rights on the November ballot. The next several months are make-or-break for the future of our great state.

We stop them now, or we may never be able to, and believe me when I say they'll export this 60% threshold to other states if it works in Ohio.

So will you join us in giving $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can to Ohioans for Reproductive Justice, to stop Republican cheating and enshrine abortion rights in Ohio's Constitution?
