"Recommendations for Kingston's Sub-Area Plan also discussed"

The Kingston Community Advisory Council invites the public to join its meeting that takes place 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14 in-person at the Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE [ [link removed] ], with a virtual option via Zoom.

The meeting will feature a presentation from representatives of PulteGroup, the homebuilding company of the Arborwood housing development, located off South Kingston Road. They will provide an update and answer questions. The property was first vested for development by the Olympic Property Group in the 1990s. Homes are now under construction.

The Kingston Community Advisory Council will also get an update from its environment and land-use committee that has been working through the Kitsap County Comprehensive Plan to make recommendations on updating the Kingston Sub-Area Plan [ [link removed] ]. The sub-area plan focuses on many different elements of the community including development density and growth, housing, roads and transportation, economic development, parks, and more.

Once approved by the council, recommendations will be submitted to Kitsap County as part of its 2024 Comprehensive Plan update [ [link removed] ]. Kitsap County's Comprehensive Plan includes a 20-year blueprint for local policies, planning and capital facility investment and it is required by Washington State's Growth Management Act to be updated periodically.

Council members will also share announcements about local events and happenings, and there are opportunities for public comment. KCAC meetings are a great way to stay up to date on what's happening and find out how to engage with and help improve the community.

The agenda and meeting link will be posted on the Kingston Community Advisory Council website [ [link removed] ]. Everyone is welcome!
