Attention!

On June 5, the Arizona Republic Guild is walking off the job for 48 hours in response to Gannett’s unfair labor practices. They are fighting for a fair contract that ensures liveable wages, decent healthcare, and safeguards against staffing cuts and outsourcing. Gannett has shown a disregard for its journalists and the communities they serve. By stalling negotiations and prioritizing shareholders over employees, the company has kept wages low while the cost of living continues to rise in our area. 

They need our support! Stand with the Arizona Republic Guild on June 6th at 9 a.m. for a "Coffee and Chat" event at Cafe Tres Leches. Together, we can make our voices heard and demand fair treatment for these dedicated journalists.

*The guild is also fundraising for their strike fund, they anticipate the company will withhold pay for both days of the strike. The funds raised will go directly to the journalists who cannot afford to miss two days of pay.
