Weekly Newsletter: The two parties are dead set on ensuring they rule over our politics. They want you to believe that an independent presidential candidate has no chance at winning. Now’s the time to prove them wrong.
Hi Friend,
For as long as any of us can remember, the two major parties have jealously guarded their control over the political landscape like a pair of dragons sitting on piles of gold. When you look at what makes both parties seem so fearsome, one idea stands out: the belief they continue to spread that an independent candidate can never win the presidency. This narrative serves to cement their power, casting a shadow over the prospects of independent contenders.
But here's the thing: Just like fire-breathing dragons, this so-called "inevitability" is nothing more than a myth – it’s only as real as people believe it is. In fact, right now, we see a golden opportunity for our politics to come back to its senses and for a moderate independent ticket to clinch the presidency in 2024.
We’ve got numbers to back up our belief that this is a real possibility. Historically, our electorate has been neatly split into slices of the pie: 40% voting for Democrats, 40% voting for Republicans, and 20% being unaffiliated, issues-based voters. But today, that pie looks quite different. No Labels December polling of more than 26,000 voters – one of the largest of its kind – showed an electorate that is more evenly spread -- 35% leaning Democrat, 35% leaning Republican, and a full 30% who are unaffiliated, issues-based voters.
Now, fast forward to November 2024. If we were faced with the prospect of another Trump versus Biden rematch, a whopping 6 out of 10 voters have said they would consider voting for a unity ticket.
Let's break down what this could mean for us: To win, a No Labels unity ticket would only need 61% of those who reject a Trump-Biden rematch. That's just 36% of the electorate. To put it another way, an independent moderate ticket would only need to sway a mere 6% of Trump or Biden supporters.
History has demonstrated, time and time again, that candidates once deemed unlikely to win can defy expectations. Remember, plenty of unprecedented things have happened in modern American politics. We've seen underdogs rise, we've seen the unexpected become the norm, and we've seen change when it was least anticipated.
We’ve also seen that moving away from the partisan extremes is possible when both sides commit to doing so in good faith. Just look at the House Problem Solvers Caucus, which played a key role in moving the bipartisan debt ceiling agreement through Congress this week against the wishes of politicians on the far-left and far-right who would rather just keep arguing and attacking the other side.
We have the opportunity to break the cycle, to move beyond the status quo, and to champion the voices of those who've been left out of the partisan conversation.
But, for this to happen, we need your support. We need you to believe in the possibility of change, to challenge the status quo, and to take a stand for a more balanced, inclusive future. If you’d like to be a part of slaying the dragon of partisan politics, consider donating to No Labels 2024. ([link removed] )

No Labels is making history, and we want you to be part of it! We're working hard to build the launching pad for a potential independent Unity presidential ticket – featuring one Democrat and one Republican – in 2024. Forces within the two major parties have already registered their objections to this project, but they're only displaying a disconnect with how the country feels.

Five Facts on the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government ([link removed] )
At the start of the new Congress, the Republican-controlled House voted along party lines to create a powerful new investigative body called the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. The committee is currently investigating the Biden administration, alleged abuses of federal authority, and potential collusion between federal agencies and giant tech companies to censor and silence conservatives and squelch debate. The subcommittee has been using its subpoena power and holding hearings since February.
