I want to share a resource that can help you support our Action Plan while making smart financial decisions. Dear Friend, How have you spent the first half of 2023, friend? I’m grateful for your support across all of the SPLC’s initiatives so far this year, especially our 2023 Action Plan to address our nation’s most pressing concerns. From protecting educators’ right to teach honest, inclusive education to defending the right to vote and democracy itself, our work is greatly needed at this moment. As we set our sights on the second half of the year, the clock is ticking on a giving option that you can choose to benefit your own savings and our 2023 Action Plan: IRA donations. Did you know that you or a loved one 70.5 or older can donate from an IRA today and save on taxable income? And, if you’re 73 or older with a traditional IRA, an IRA donation now can help you get ahead by meeting your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) well before 2023 is over. Note: When you make an IRA gift, please use the tool below so we can track your gift and thank you appropriately!
