John, Congress just passed the debt ceiling bill — giving the green light to gut critical environmental protections and move forward with the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
We’re outraged over the Biden administration’s willingness to sacrifice frontline communities to keep Big Oil, and its defenders like Sen. Joe Manchin, satisfied. We still believe that with enough public pressure, we can get President Biden to stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline and end the era of fossil fuels once and for all.
That’s exactly why we’re joining our coalition partners at People vs. Fossil Fuels from June 8 – 11 for a nationwide week of action. There will be events in communities all across the nation, but we also invite you to sign up to host your own!

Yet the U.S. continues to be the biggest producer of oil and gas in the world. And the progress the Biden Administration has made promoting renewable energy and electric vehicles has been undermined by the President’s approval of new fossil fuel projects and the latest cuts to environmental protections outlined in the debt ceiling bill.
