Many have asked me about my reaction to Rush Limbaugh receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the State of the Union, so I wrote a piece for Voices for Progress in USA TODAY <[link removed]> to answer that question. In short:
Rush Limbaugh doesn’t deserve to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Donald Trump doesn’t deserve to be able to give it.
Whether it was against me in 2012 or at the State of the Union in 2020, both have used lies and hateful rhetoric in their effort to deny Americans affordable access to comprehensive healthcare.
I hope Mr. Limbaugh gets the health care he needs and Democrats take back the White House and Senate so all Americans can get the health care they need. Click here to read more: [link removed] <[link removed]>
