John,

Last cycle, the D.C. establishment and political pundits had written off Iowa’s 4th district. They all thought we had no shot of taking down Steve King. They said there was no way a Democrat could defeat an incumbent Republican in a rural district that Trump won by 27 points.

We started with no name recognition, didn’t have the backing of the D.C. elite, and refused to accept donations from corporate PACs and lobbyists. We believed -- and still do -- that our power should come from the people. Our campaign is all about getting out directly to the people, hitting the pavement, and earning trust and support one conversation at a time. With the power of people on our side, we came within 3 points.

This time around, there’s even more momentum around our campaign -- but we’re still not on the DCCC’s Red-to-Blue list of flippable races.

That doesn’t matter to us. We’re leaving it all on the field and building a grassroots movement that can win, with or without the party establishment’s help.

What matters to us most of all is that you believe in us, John.

Contribute now and prove to the DCCC that we have what it takes to win.

Now that the Iowa Caucuses have passed, there is less national attention on Iowa -- but that doesn’t mean this race should be left in the rear-view mirror.

This means more than just a majority in the House of Representatives. Electing J.D. would give folks in rural America a seat at the table in Congress.

J.D. will stand tall to protect our healthcare, support family farmers, and revitalize rural communities.

With your grassroots support, we can make sure that Iowa’s 4th district has a representative who truly fights for us. Thanks for standing with the underdog -- we need you in this fight.
