Climate Justice

In this week’s Climate Justice newsletter, we’re focusing on art, the solidarity economy, and the Amazon. Our first article is about Creative Wildfire, a project that supports artists and organizations creating art for the climate crisis, solidarity economy, and just transitions. Next, we look to Ecuador to learn how a water defender and a local Indigenous community are protecting their local river. Then, we dig deeper into understanding how the solidarity economy can be a space for philanthropy to further support the creative sector and community development. Finally, NPQ’s call for climate fiction is open for another month!

For NPQ’s fall 2023 climate justice edition of NPQ Magazine, we’re looking for climate fiction! Yes, we’re trying something new and want to hear from you! In the midst of our climate crisis reshaping the way people live, our fall 2023 issue focuses on the question, Where do we find/how do we create home in the future? As such, we are interested in stories that speak to our intersectional lived experiences in the context of climate change and how these might play out, evolve, or even completely transform in your visionary future world.
