This year during Black History Month, I am spending time reflecting on our victories where we’ve made progress towards equity and desegregation. But, there is still so much work to do.

Our America today is one where your race determines your future: where you will live, how much you’ll be paid, and the educational opportunities you can access.

I'm running for Congress because this is not acceptable.

On so many fronts, our country is in need of action, but tackling persistent racial inequality is and always has been our most needed action. We need strong leadership in Washington to make sure future generations are given the same access to opportunities regardless of race. Will you show your support for our fight against inequality by contributing to our campaign?

During Black History Month and beyond, I’m committed to being a part of the work to make our country and our communities work for everyone. 

Black history is American history. American history is Black history.
