NC lawmakers expected to roll out major election law changes, with input from former Trump lawyer
Republican operatives and legislators expect a massive package of laws -- affecting voter ID, early voting, mail-in ballots, voter registration rules and more -- to be filed in the coming days.

John — far-right legislative Republicans are launching an assault on our election system.

The GOP is attacking voting rights with restrictions that’ll make it harder for some North Carolinians to cast a ballot.

Let’s be clear: These restrictions will disproportionately impact folks who Democrats are fighting for. Young people. People of color. Folks in lower-income communities. It’s about keeping as many of their votes from counting as possible, and it’s an outrage.

We’ve seen the GOP try this before — and we fought back. We have to unite and fight back once again in defense of people’s voting rights.

But it won’t be easy. These attacks on voting rights would give Republicans an unfair advantage in our election that we’ll need significant resources to counter. The only way to defeat them is through grassroots power.
