Now I want to tell you about a New Politics leader: Mike Johnston, the Teach for America alum, turned State Senator is running for Mayor in Denver and he is currently in the runoff! He is the kind of leader who finds solutions, no matter how big the problem:

• As principal, Mike turned around a struggling urban school to make it the first in Colorado where 100% of graduating seniors graduated and were accepted to 4-year colleges


• More recently, Mike established a top organization in Colorado to test and protect millions of Coloradans throughout the pandemic


• In the Statehouse, Mike prioritized common-sense gun violence prevention and clean energy investments
