Friend,
The Trump administration recently announced eight proposed regulations that would roll back rules protecting millions of people who get critical social services at taxpayer-funded religious organizations.
That announcement started a 30-day public comment period, which ends soon. We need your help to ensure that the administration, the public, and the press can’t ignore that this attack on religious freedom for vulnerable people is unacceptable.

What exactly do these regulations do?
- Eliminate religious freedom protections, including requirements to notify people of their rights or offer people an alternative provider.
- Open the door to government-funded discrimination and create more hurdles for vulnerable people who could be forced to choose between their religious beliefs and accessing the services they need.
- May include programs for housing, food, substance abuse treatment, counseling, veterans' services, care for the elderly, and more.
- Will likely harm LGBTQ people, women, religious minorities, and the nonreligious the most.

Remember, the final deadline for public comments is February 18th – just over a week from today! Don’t wait to make your voice heard.
Thank you for taking such a meaningful action to defend religious freedom.
Sincerely,
Maggie Garrett
VP of Public Policy
