The fight for equal protection under the law is far from over. This year alone, more than 5 00 bills in state legislatures across our country have been introduced aimed at attacking the LGBTQI+ community.

Whether it's legislation banning drag performances , LGBTQI+ history , or gender-affirming care , it's clear these attacks are rooted in lies and conspiracies. It couldn’t be more obvious: MAGA extremists all across the country want to silence and legislate away the LGBTQI+ community.

But let me be clear: Pride is for everyone and no one should face discrimination because of who they are or who they love. I will always stand up for our right to live and love freely.

Pride Month this year is more important than ever for our LGBTQI+ friends, family, and community members. Join me in celebrating Pride Month with open hearts, open minds, and the courage to fight back against hateful, anti-LGBTQI+ rhetoric.
