Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC is excited to announce the launch of a new report: Asian Americans in the 2022 Midterm Elections: Findings From The 2022 National Poll of Asian American Non-Voters and Voters.

This report highlights the results of the
2022 National Poll of Asian American Non-Voters and Voters ([link removed]) , a survey commissioned by Advancing Justice | AAJC and fielded in the weeks following the 2022 midterm elections.

Our findings break new ground and build on previous polls of Asian American voters by getting at the heart of what motivates Asian Americans to vote, how they get informed to vote, and what prevents some Asian Americans from voting.

BSP Research conducted the 2022 National Poll of Asian American Non-Voters and Voters ([link removed]) which interviewed 2,100 Asian American voters and 700 Asian American non-voters about their views and experiences during the election.

Key Highlights
* One-in-six Asian American voters felt threatened when voting.
* A majority of voters and non-voters reported encountering what they perceived to be misinformation in the 2022 elections.
* Non-voters were less likely to be contacted about the election than voters, especially from campaigns and parties.
* Two-in-three Asian Americans chose to vote absentee or early. The most common reasons cited for voting absentee or early were long lines and limited hours on Election Day, COVID concerns, the convenience of absentee or early voting, and scheduling conflicts.
* Non-voters reported that better candidates and more information on candidates might entice them to vote in future elections.

For a summary of our key findings from the survey, please see our fact sheet here ([link removed]) .
