Dear John,

It’s been an exhausting few weeks with hundreds of phone calls, dozens of meetings, rallies, and media interviews. But we FINALLY have some good news. A budget deal just passed Congress that leaves out harmful cuts to Medicaid proposed by MAGA extremists. With your help, we saved Medicaid for 21 million people in the U.S.!

Our work doesn’t end here. While this is a huge win, we should never have been in this position to begin with. Our livelihoods should never be threatened because of political gains and games.

Now that Medicaid is protected, we’ll continue to fight to expand care access through Medicaid, so everyone can get care when and where they need it. You can help power that fight by making a $25 donation today. [[link removed]]

Here’s just a few of the things we did in the last few weeks:

* Delivered over 12,000 of your petitions to Senators urging them to protect Medicaid users from draconian, complicated work requirements.
* Hosted a virtual Save Medicaid rally with more than 500 care activists joining in from around the country, along with Senator Bob Casey and other care advocates.
* Posted a series of #MedicaidMonday videos across social media platforms – educating more than 20,000 people about the importance of Medicaid.
* Educated President Biden and Congress about the importance of Medicaid and how many different types of Americans rely on and support the program.
* Amplified the importance of this issue with articles in Axios, The Hill, and Ms. Magazine, among other outlets.

This win wouldn’t have been possible without supporters like you, John. Thank you for everything you did in the fight to save Medicaid.

When we hosted our #SaveMedicaid online rally, a participant asked me an impactful question: “How do we keep Medicaid from always being on the chopping block in federal and state budgets?” The answer is: We need to recruit more people into the fight and grow an even bigger movement in support of better care systems. We'll continue fighting to ensure Medicaid is protected in the long-term and that even more people can use Medicaid to access the care they need.

John, even a donation of $25 can go a long way to make this movement even stronger and power the fight to protect Medicaid for years to come.
