John,
We know that in order for democracy to work for all of us, it must include all of us, no matter the color of our skin or what’s in our wallets. But as the hard work from our communities has made California prosper, so many people are still pushed out of having a voice on the issues that matter most – like making sure everyone has a safe and affordable place to rest our heads at night.
Almost 5 million Californians who are eligible to vote are unregistered. This group is disproportionately made up of Asian American, Black, and Latinx citizens, resulting in elected leaders that don’t accurately represent California’s population making decisions for all of us. This is unacceptable.
Will you write a letter to Secretary of State Dr. Shirley Weber today to urge her to support Secure Automatic Voter Registration and empower millions of Californians to become active voters?
Government should work for all Californians, not just the wealthy and well-connected. We must expand and strengthen democracy by building people power, uniting communities, and
ensuring every eligible Californians’ freedom to vote.
Tell Secretary of State Dr. Shirley Weber to create a path to a true, inclusive democracy for all!
In Solidarity,
