This Pride, millions of young queer people are watching their state governments, prominent national politicians, and even aggressive strangers in a Target mount a coordinated attack on their very existence.
Fuck that.
Every Pride comes with recognition that, alongside celebrations of queer joy and love, there is still a long way to go toward securing equality and freedom for every member of the LGBTQ+ community.
But while Republicans demonize and distract in order to pass their unpopular agenda, we’re turning our fear, sadness, and anger into defiance.
Last June, when the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, we said Fuck Bans, and y’all stepped up. Together, we raised more than $1,500,000 to help patients navigate the new landscape and help organizers fight back. Since then, pro-choice campaigns have won every single ballot measure related to abortion and dozens of states elected pro-choice leaders.
So this year, we’re saying Fuck Bans once again.
