Some Republicans are going to ignore what happened last night. They want to try and hide from the fact that they betrayed their constituents by voting to put our country in even more debt.

Not me. I’m going to tell YOU exactly how I feel about this cowardly debt ceiling surrender.

Last night, the swamp – with help from Republican sell outs – passed a crap deal that put our country more in debt and made no real changes whatsoever.

• It had no cap in raising the debt.
• It authorized $4 trillion in new spending and ONLY $12 billion in cuts.
• It kept Biden's baseline spending intact for agencies.
• It canonized post-COVID spending levels. 
• It kept all of Biden’s policies/ spending.
• It did nothing to eliminate Green New Deal policies.

The White House LOVES this deal. Joe Biden’s economic advisor even bragged on CNN that it "preserves” Biden’s "remarkable progressive accomplishments".

They’re thrilled with it because it funds ALL of Joe Biden’s disastrous policies and more of his reckless spending. Biden got everything he wanted!

In return, we got just $12 billion in spending cuts this year.

Does that sound like a good deal to you?

Our debt problem was never going to be fixed immediately with a single bill.

But Republicans pledged to hold the line on the debt ceiling until we made impactful changes to address Washington’s out-of-control spending.

I won’t mince words: Our party completely and utterly failed to do that.

America is on a perilous trajectory, and this deal simply kicks the can down the road while the problem continues to get worse.

At what point are we finally going to accept that we have to curtail baseline spending so we can stabilize our position and begin paying down our trillion of dollars in debt?

On the heels of a setback like this one, it’s easy to become discouraged. I understand how frustrating it is to see a Republican House majority sell out Americans like this once again.

But I can promise you: This battle is far from over.

My colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus and I aren’t going to give up on the fight to restore fiscal sanity to Washington.

We’re going to hold Congress accountable for this betrayal of the American people and use all of the leverage we have to continue to fight for YOU in the swamp.

The bright side is that, like President Trump said, we can still fix this in two years!

When he’s back in the White House in 2024, we’ll be able to finish draining the swamp, rein in Washington’s out-of-control spending, and SAVE AMERICA.

But make no mistake: 2024 is our LAST CHANCE to save our country.

If President Trump doesn’t have a TRUE conservative majority in Congress, I fear America will have fallen too far down the slope towards socialism and tyranny to be recoverable.

That’s the other reason I’m emailing you today.

With everything going on yesterday, we ended up coming up about $550 short of our goal for the month for May…

…so I had my team implement an emergency internal deadline extension until 11:59 P.M. TONIGHT so we can get back on budget.

I’ve always been honest with you, so I can’t simply ignore the fact that House Republicans caved on the debt ceiling, pretend that nothing is wrong, and then ask you for money.

Given the vote last night, I understand that you may not be in the mood to contribute to support a House Republican, even one who stood against this debt ceiling surrender.

If that’s the case, I completely get it.

But I still have to do everything in my power to ensure we stay on budget – and the vast majority of our funding comes from grassroots patriots like YOU, so I’ve got nowhere else to turn.

I truly have no choice but to ask for your support.
