John,

Thank you! To everyone who gave during our May budget push earlier this week, you continue to make all the difference for our campaign to take back the House.

We’ve won before when there’s been a surge of grassroots energy nationwide—everyday people who volunteer, rally the vote, and donate. That’s what it will take to win again in 2024.

Tomorrow marks National Gun Violence Awareness Day, so let’s use our grassroots momentum to push for more common sense gun legislation like the law Democrats passed back when we held a slim majority.

The constant barrage of shootings has set off a public health crisis. New research shows that 1 in 25 American kindergartners won’t make it to age 40, with guns being the leading cause of death.

But while Democrats in Congress continue to push legislation to curb the effects of gun violence on our families after passing the first meaningful gun legislation in years when we had the majority, Republicans are refusing to work with us.

Which is why we need to hold them accountable.

Americans don’t need “thoughts and prayers” – they need swift, bipartisan action to make communities safer.

My Democratic colleagues and I have been hard at work trying to address this crisis, and passed the first meaningful gun violence legislation in years, but now that the GOP controls the House, they don’t want to engage us on it.

Add your name to demand Republicans stop kowtowing to the gun lobby! [[link removed]]

Be well,
