Big news from No Labels! Pat McCrory, the former Republican governor of North Carolina, seven-term mayor of Charlotte, former business executive, and a prominent voice for bipartisan governance, is joining No Labels as a National Co-Chair. He will work with co-chairs Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis Jr., Sen. Joe Lieberman and Gov. Larry Hogan. This is yet another sign of No Labels’ national stature and of our emergence as a voice for the commonsense majority of American voters who want to restore responsible, results-oriented bipartisanship to our democracy.

Governor McCrory’s insight and experience in both the public and private sectors will help drive the No Labels movement forward as we continue to develop our strategy and communicate our message to the tens of millions of Americans who are looking for a new approach to national leadership.

McCrory served as Governor of North Carolina from January 2013 to January 2017. He previously had served seven terms as mayor of Charlotte, from 1995 to 2009. In addition to his public experience, he brings corporate-sector know-how from his work at Duke Energy and as the senior director of strategic initiatives for the Charlotte-based law firm of Moore & Van Allen. In 2002, President George W. Bush appointed McCrory to the U.S. Homeland Security Advisory Council.
