Did you see that the U.S. House passed the debt ceiling agreement?

It is far from over, and D.C. politicians continue to play partisan games with our country's finances as the default deadline nears.

It's ridiculous that it took averting a national crisis, like defaulting on our loans, for both sides to finally work together.

In Maryland, former Governor Larry Hogan was able to work with the Democratic majorities to turn a state budget deficit into a surplus and keep spending within their means. Compromise and common ground isn't hard to find with the right leadership.

If it can happen in DEEP BLUE Maryland... it can happen in D.C.

We can do so much better than the current dysfunction in Washington. We can't let the extremes of both sides hold our country hostage.
