Dear John,
Recent News
We kicked off the month of May with a great Small Business Routable with Congressman Roger Williams. I had the opportunity to meet with so many of our district’s chambers and talk about what is affecting their communities and businesses.
I also had the opportunity to meet with the Arlington Fire Department, where I got to meet some great servicemen!
Being home in Texas is especially great when I get to catch up with friends throughout the district. I spent Memorial Day this year with the great people of Kerens, TX, where I got to honor all the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

District Update
It is officially summertime for all of our students and teachers! Congratulations to all our graduates from TX-06. I am proud of all you have accomplished and wish you well in this next chapter of your story. This is an important time in your life as you choose college, a skilled trade, a career path, or decide to enlist. No matter your choice, there are many rewarding opportunities that await you.
I would like to congratulate the young men and women who have chosen to serve in the United States Military. I learned of 131 students from various high schools in the district that have enlisted in a branch of the United States Military. I thank them for their willingness and commitment to serve in the United States Military. I would also like to thank their families for supporting them in this decision.
Special thanks to our administrators, teachers, and support staff for all their work throughout the 2022-23 school year. Hope you get some much-deserved rest and relaxation..
Every year as a Congressman, I have the opportunity to interview and nominate students for the United State Service Academies. It was a wonderful day in November, sitting with the interview panel made up of former academy graduates who served as combat soldiers and interviewing 30 candidates aspiring for a nomination.
Out of 21 receiving a nomination, I am honored to announce that the following students received an appointment year to date:
United States Naval Academy
Asher Nguyen – James W. Martin High School
Bahj Said – Kennedale High School
