John,
I wanted to share some good news and some bad news.
The Bad News: We fell short of our fundraising goal for May.
So when we miss our fundraising goals, fewer folks get registered to vote, fewer folks get access to polls, and our candidates lose out on the resources they need to compete. All of which means fewer Black Democrats are elected into office.
In 2023 – when voting rights and reproductive rights are being gutted by state legislatures and Kevin McCarthy and the House GOP are actively trying to strip millions of Black Americans of their healthcare access – it’s more important than ever that we hit our goals and help our candidates.
The Good News: We can make up the difference in June.
At the end of June we’re facing down a HUGE FEC reporting deadline. The amount of money we have in the bank is going to determine how much we can get involved in races around the country, and up and down the ballot.
We’re setting our June goal now, John – we need to raise $80,000 before the end of the month to help make up the difference from May. I know that seems like a lot, but that is what it takes to invest early, invest intelligently, and ensure Black Democrats across the country can win.
Will you be one of the first to chip in $25 or even $10 towards our June fundraising goal? We’re going to need your help to get this done.
Thank you again for your continued support of The Collective PAC. Donors like you are critical to achieving our mission, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish this year with you on our team.
– Quentin
The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of
power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Since our inception in 2016, we have helped 110 candidates win general elections at the local, state and federal levels. We strive to support the next wave of
progressive and unapologetic Black candidates who will usher in a sea of change in our political system while helping America fulfill its promise of democracy by creating a government that will truly be for the people and of the people.
