** Speak Truth to Power! ☀️
------------------------------------------------------------
============================================================
Dear FAIR Friend,
Every day at FAIR, we take a critical look into what the corporate press says—and doesn’t say—and how that framing affects our lives and our world. We believe stories should be told from the perspectives of the people most affected by them, NOT armchair think tank “experts” and pundits.
Our small but scrappy team works tirelessly to uncover and spread the truth, even amid deliberate noise, confusion and fear mongering.
** This summer, we’re working to raise $15,000 to help us cover our general operating expenses in these difficult financial times. ([link removed])
We try to keep our fundraising pitches to no more than four times a year, and only ask for support when we need it.
To thank you for your donations, we’re offering a gift for those who donate $35 or more!

"War Made Invisible: How America Hides the Human Toll of Its Military Machine", by acclaimed journalist, political analyst and FAIR associate Norman Solomon, takes American media and political leaders to task for selectively concealing tragic consequences of war.
From Iraq through Afghanistan and Syria and on to little-known deployments in a range of countries around the globe, the United States has been at perpetual war for at least the past two decades. Yet many of these forays remain off the radar of average Americans, due largely to a news media that relies heavily on military narratives that euphemize and shroud this violence. Additionally, the increased use of high technology, air power, and remote drones has put distance between soldiers and the civilians who die. And back at home, a media complicit in the cloak of invisibility masks massive Pentagon budgets that receive bipartisan approval even as policy makers struggle to fund the domestic agenda.
We highly recommend this essential and informative book, and think you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Our readers, listeners and activists know the reality of keeping a small progressive nonprofit going. We depend on FAIR’s network of media activists to stand up to help ensure a future of a free and independent press.
Your support plays an essential role in speaking truth to power and standing up to politicians, corporations and wealthy media elites who prioritize their own gains over the information needs of the public.
** Donate today to help us reach our goal by July 1! ([link removed])
When you donate to FAIR, you’re investing in a hopeful, informed and more democratic future.
Keep fighting!
In Solidarity,
Your friends at FAIR, Olivia, Janine, Jim & Julie
