  • Monday 24 April - Friday 9 June: Lane closure on Aspley Lane, Bobber's Mill Bridge, Nuthall Road
  • Tuesday 9 May - Friday 30 June: 3-way temporary signals and off-peak road closures as required at junction of A453 Queens Drive/Riverside Way
  • Monday 22 May - Friday 29 September: Closure of Right of Way between Farnborough Road across the field to the Railway Bridge, Silverdale Walk Clifton for Cadent gas works
  • Tuesday 30 May - Monday 5 June: Lane closure on Radford Road between Reigate Road and Silverdale Road outbound for emergency gasworks

st ann's well road

Roadworks begin Monday 5 May on St Ann's Well Road

Roadworks kick off on Monday 5 June on St Ann's Well Road, for safety works including removing and replacing three raised level crossings. These works should cause minimal disruption, with road closures on 2 and 16 July and 13 August.


Hooton Street

Weekend closures of Hooton Street exit onto Carlton Road, St Ann's as phase one of Carlton Road cycle path nears completion

3 & 4 June, 10 & 11 June and 17 & 18 June

Hooton Street will be closed to provide safe working access while the new cycle path on Carlton Road is finished. Motorists may enter Hooton Street as normal but cannot leave it via the usual exit. Instead, Hooton Street beyond Key Street becomes two-way with motorists able to exit via Key Street and Windmill Lane.

Road closures within the City Hospital campus will impact the 40 bus.

  • North Road closed Saturday 3 June - Sunday 4 June. 
  • North road closed Saturday 10 June - Sunday 11 June.

Strikes and engineering works on local train services

  • Strike action is planned on East Midlands Railways on Friday 2 June (very limited service) and Saturday 3 June (no service) - read more about the strikes here
