Hello there, it’s that time of year again — when students
across the country wrap up their school years, receive diplomas, and prepare for
their next chapters in life. This time of year, I find myself reflecting on my
own education, and how it transformed my life.
After immigrating to the U.S., my parents were always clear that they came to
this country to make sure my siblings and I had more opportunities than they
had, including access to an education.
That’s why, to this day, two of my proudest moments were when I graduated with
my bachelor's degree and later my master's degree. My education was a testament
to all the sacrifices my parents made for our family.
At NILC, we believe that everyone should have the same opportunity to experience
the transformative power of education, and we are ready and willing to defend
this constitutionally protected right for all students. Friend, will you join us in our fight?

[[link removed]]In 1982, the Supreme Court affirmed in Plyler v. Doe that it is unconstitutional for a state to deny students access to public
elementary or secondary education based on immigration status.
Despite Plyler ’s long history, politicians are threatening our right to education, from what
we learn in the classroom, to whether we can learn at all.
In the face of these challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to a
country where every student has the freedom to learn, grow, and thrive,
regardless of how much money we have, what we look like, or where we were born.
But we cannot accomplish this alone . We rely on the generosity and support of individuals like you who believe in
our mission. Your contribution can make a lasting impact on the lives of
students nationwide, ensuring everyone has equal access to education and the
opportunity to realize their full potential.
Please join us and make a gift today — your donation will enable us to continue
challenging discriminatory policies, advocating for inclusive and safe
educational environments, and working to uphold everyone’s right to education.
