Senators Tim Kaine and Jeff Merkley introduced essential amendments to the deal that would stop Manchin's Dirty Deal and remove other un-American measures that will hurt our environment and make our neighbors suffer.

The precedent of allowing economic terrorists to inflict pain on ordinary Americans by threatening default is very troubling, and we take it as further confirmation of our disturbing slide into fascism.
