There are less than 2 months to go until the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony ([link removed]) ! Mark your calendars and make sure to tune in for the LIVE broadcast of the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony on 24 July 2023 at 18:30 CET, where winners will be announced at a live ceremony in Rome, Italy, during the official opening day of the 2023 UN Food Systems Stocktaking Moment ([link removed]) , which will be hosted by the Government of Italy at the premises of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the collaboration of the Rome UN Based-agencies, the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub and the wider UN system.

We’re proud to announce the first wave of Awards judges!

The UN SDG Action Campaign is honoured to work with such a distinguished group of leaders committed to flipping the script and uniting to act for a peaceful, greener, and sustainable world for all – from UN leadership, high-level government representatives, grassroots activists, civil society, creatives, and impact-driven business champions. Given their extensive experience and knowledge, they are uniquely positioned to identify and celebrate the most impactful initiatives and individuals that mobilize, inspire, and connect people to drive positive change.

The full panel will be announced on a rolling basis in the coming weeks.

** In Berlin, UN SDG Action Campaign Delivers Appeal to Unite to Act

On 9 May, the UN SDG Action Campaign joined UNDP and UNIDO at a special event in Berlin, Germany, to mark 50 years of Germany’s accession to the United Nations and celebrate the opening of a new UNDP-UNIDO shared office in the German capital.

The high-profile event, which included the participation of UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, UNIDO Executive Director Gerd Müller, State Secretary for Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Jochen Flasbarth, and the UN SDG Action Campaign Global Director, Marina Ponti, was also an opportunity to highlight the global halfway point in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals ahead of this year’s critical SDG Summit taking place in New York in September.
